Frequently Asked Question

Why "Purna"? What does the brand represent?

“Purna” is a Sanskrit word meaning Complete, Infinite, and Whole. Our brand identity is built on the belief that UPSC preparation is often left “incomplete” by traditional coaching. Purna IAS represents a 360-degree ecosystem where Academic Knowledge, Strategic Discipline, and Mental Resilience come together to create a successful officer.

What does "Purna IAS" mean? How is it different from other coachings?

Purna means “Complete.” Most institutes only finish the syllabus; we finish the aspirant’s preparation. We use the PTMF (Purna Topic Mastery Framework) which ensures you don’t just read a topic but master it across 5 levels: NCERT, Notes, PYQ Analysis, Current Linkage, and Mains Answer Writing.

What is the PTMF Strategy?

It is our scientific 5-step process for every topic:

  • Level 1 (Buniyaad): Foundation through NCERTs and Reference Books.

  • Level 2 (Sifting): Creating 2-page micro-notes.

  • Level 3 (Eye): Scanning the last 10 years of UPSC questions.

  • Level 4 (Bridge): Linking the topic with daily news.

  • Level 5 (Abhyas): Writing a high-quality Mains answer.

Can I join if I am a working professional or a college student?

Absolutely. Many of our students are working or in college. Our Flexi-Roadmap allows you to finish your daily targets in a 4-6 hour window, with heavy-lifting scheduled for weekends.

How will my doubts be cleared?

You have three layers of doubt resolution:

  1. Squad Group: Peer-to-peer learning with serious batchmates.

  2. Mentor Support: Direct access to your Squad Mentor via Telegram/WhatsApp.

  3. Weekly War-Room: A live Zoom session with the Mentors for complex conceptual and strategic doubts.

Is there a scholarship for underprivileged students?

Yes. Through the JAS Foundation, we offer the Purna Scholarship every year, providing mentorship to 100 exceptionally talented students from economically weaker sections.

How do you ensure the quality of Mentors?

At Purna IAS, mentorship is not a “side job.” Every mentor is personally vetted by the founders.

  • The Criteria: Our mentors have either reached the UPSC Interview stage or have a minimum of 5 years of proven subject expertise.

  • The Training: Mentors undergo a rigorous 14-day “Purna SOP Training” to ensure they follow our standardized PTMF evaluation method.

How do you guarantee the quality of Answer Evaluation?

This is where most students feel cheated by big brands. We use a Standardized Evaluation Rubric. Every answer is checked on 5 parameters: Structure, Content, Value Addition (Diagrams/Data), Linkage, and Presentation. You don’t just get a marks-sheet; you get a “Micro-Feedback” report on how to gain that extra 0.5 marks.

Why Purna IAS Charges a Nominal Fee?
  1. To ensure our mentors are dedicated to your success 24/7, they need to be fairly compensated. Professional evaluation of your Mains answers requires time and high-level skill, which cannot be sustained on a “volunteer-only” basis.
  2. It is a proven psychological fact that “100% Free” resources are often taken for granted. A nominal fee creates a sense of Accountability. When you invest even a small amount, you are more likely to follow our roadmap, attend the “War-Room” sessions, and submit your answers on time. We want serious warriors, not casual browsers.

  3. The revenue generated from Purna IAS helps fund Purna Shiksha (For Weaker section). A part of your fee directly supports free education and digital literacy for underprivileged children. Your success helps someone else start their journey.

  4. By charging a nominal fee, we remain answerable only to you—the student. This ensures that our content is always unbiased and our focus remains 100% on your Rank.
  5.  Running a high-speed Learning Management System (LMS), Digital Infrastructure etc.
